In recent months, we have been able to set up emergency shelters in three locations — providing 25 simple homes for families displaced by the civil war. Building on this, we have now begun two additional camps in areas struck hardest by the recent earthquake.

This time, we are laying stronger stone and concrete foundations to give families a safer and more lasting place to live. Despite the heavy rains slowing progress, we are hopeful that the new shelters in two locations will be completed by the end of September.

Even while construction is underway, these camps have already become places of life and hope. Christian gatherings are held regularly, and the people are deeply grateful for the biblical teaching and encouragement they are receiving.
