Following the devastating flash floods in Nepal, Frontline Hearts is preparing to deploy a small international disaster relief team to support families and communities affected by the disaster.

Severe flooding has caused significant damage in affected areas, leaving families without safe shelter and creating urgent humanitarian needs. In cooperation with trusted local partners, Frontline Hearts is preparing a targeted response focused on practical assistance where it is needed most.

Our Mission

A team of approximately 6–7 Frontline Hearts volunteers from Europe is preparing to travel to Nepal in early September 2026.

Our primary objective is to provide rapid, practical and well-coordinated humanitarian assistance to flood-affected families, with a particular focus on emergency shelter.

Frontline Hearts plans to bring and deploy approximately 10–20 international-standard disaster relief tents. These tents are intended to provide temporary shelter for families whose homes have been destroyed, severely damaged or rendered unsafe by the flooding.

Working Together Locally

Effective disaster response depends on strong local coordination. Frontline Hearts is therefore working closely with trusted partners in Nepal who can provide essential local knowledge and support.

Together, we aim to:

• Identify communities and families with the most urgent shelter needs.
• Coordinate with relevant local authorities and community representatives.
• Select appropriate and safe locations for the deployment of emergency tents.
• Organize transportation and distribution of relief supplies.
• Assess additional humanitarian needs encountered on the ground.
• Mobilize local volunteers where appropriate to support logistics, translation and communication.

A Targeted and Flexible Response

Frontline Hearts specializes in small, mobile and flexible disaster relief deployments. Rather than attempting to cover every need following a major disaster, our approach is to identify specific gaps where a relatively small team can make a meaningful difference.

The situation on the ground may change rapidly. For this reason, the exact deployment locations and distribution of equipment will be determined in coordination with our local partners and the responsible authorities, based on the needs identified at the time of arrival.

In addition to emergency shelter, the team will assess whether other essential relief items can be sourced locally and provided to affected families where resources and circumstances allow.

Building Disaster Response Capacity

The Nepal mission is also part of Frontline Hearts’ ongoing development of its international disaster response capacity.

Our goal is to build a response model that remains rapid, practical, transparent and cost-efficient, combining international volunteers and specialized relief equipment with strong local partnerships.

Every deployment provides valuable experience that helps us improve our logistics, equipment, coordination and preparedness for future emergencies.
