Bringing the Gospel to Remote Communities – Caring Especially for the Illiterate
In 2026, we will return (DV) to Guyana for the third Mission Action Group (MAG) outreach. Together with local believers, our team will travel to Orealla and Bath to share the hope of Jesus Christ through personal visits, children’s programs, Gospel meetings, practical acts of love, and the distribution of biblical resources.
A special focus of this mission is reaching people who cannot read. Many men and women in Guyana’s rural and indigenous communities have little or no access to written information because of illiteracy or reading difficulties, making traditional Gospel literature difficult or impossible to use. We therefore want to develop and distribute simple, easy-to-use audio and visual evangelistic tools that allow everyone—regardless of their reading ability—to hear and understand God’s message of salvation and further teachings.
The team will also encourage local believers, strengthen existing fellowships, visit families in need, and support ongoing Frontline Hearts projects. As always, our desire is not only to bring temporary help, but to point people to the Lord Jesus Christ, whose salvation gives eternal hope.
We invite believers with a heart for evangelism, children’s ministry, practical service, music, media, and discipleship to join us in this exciting outreach as we seek to bring the Gospel and biblical teachings to those who have never had the opportunity to hear it in a way they can truly understand.
