LEBANON: Operation Helping the Displaced

LEBANON: Operation Helping the Displaced

The number of displaced persons within Lebanon is way over a million. That’s about 20% of Lebanon’s population.

Local brothers and sisters see a huge opportunity to be faithful witnesses and helpers in this situation.

One of our volunteers writes: “Should we go around doing good and healing (preaching to) those who are oppressed by the devil? Should we have compassion as our Lord did for us? Should we ask the Lord where we can feed these multitudes? Or should we listen to Him say to us: ‘Give what you have’ and He will bless? If your answer is yes, what do you do practically? I have dedicated myself and my capabilities to serve as a volunteer at my own expense. If you want, … we can be partners in serving the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Recently added: “It has been days since I informed you of anything new, as the service continues, as does the war, displacement, and needs... Sometimes you feel very tired and that you need a break or even a change of scenery... But in these circumstances in particular, we must be lights in this dark world and ready to tell of the hope within us, so we gather our strength, look to the heavens, and set out again...”

In this project we partner with teams of local volunteers who help displaced people in greatest needs within Lebanon. Additionally, they share the Gospel with them and invite them to a close by assembly.
