Cotton Tree Farming Project – Sowing Seeds of Hope in Guyana 🇬🇾

Cotton Tree Farming Project – Sowing Seeds of Hope in Guyana 🇬🇾

In the village of Cotton Tree, Guyana, local Christian Shawn Chatram is cultivating much more than fruits and vegetables—he is planting seeds of generosity, sustainability, and hope.

With dedication and vision, Shawn has established a thriving farming project featuring a great variety of fruit trees and vegetables. The harvest is not kept for personal benefit alone. Following the biblical principle of sharing with those in need, he generously distributes fresh produce to fellow villagers and to anyone God places in his path.

But the impact reaches even further.

Young fruit trees and seedlings raised at the Cotton Tree farm are carefully transported into the remote interior regions of Guyana, including Indigenous communities such as Orealla and other jungle villages. These young plants provide families with the opportunity to establish their own small farms, encouraging greater food security, self-sufficiency, and healthier nutrition in areas where access to fresh produce is often limited.

Through practical service and compassionate generosity, the Cotton Tree Farming Project is helping communities discover the value of sustainable agriculture while strengthening relationships through acts of kindness and care.

At Frontline Hearts, we are grateful to partner with local believers like Shawn Chatram, whose faithful service demonstrates how simple acts of sharing can create a lasting impact for entire communities.
